If today were my last day on Earth and I could share 500 words of brilliance with the world, here are the important things I'd want to pass along to others...

I am often asked what made me able to accomplish the things I have at my age. My answer is simple. I was willing to try. I'm a regular teenager. I wouldn't consider myself gifted, special, or anything else. I'm just someone who thinks "I can." Sometimes that it all it takes. I have done lectures and workshops for young people all over the country and the greatest ideas I've heard have come from other youth. Sometimes those great ideas never take flight because the kids who came up with them are looking at all the reasons that they can't make it happen instead of all the reasons they can! Thinking that you "can"- will soon turn into believing that you "can." And once you believe it - it will begin to happen for you. There are emotional, physical and financial resources available for kids want to do something great for their communities. Volunteers and mentors are out there who share your dream and are willing to step up and help. They are just looking fo...

The Best Lessons That I Have Learned In My Life

I have learned that life is truly a gift

I have learned how important it is to be specific about what you wanted because if you are not, something else may be ordered up and it may not be what you wanted

I have learned to listen to my heart and not every person that comes along with an opinion of how they think I should do things

I have learned to be REAL and AUTHENTIC all the time

I have learned that taking care of your body, mind and spirit will help you accomplish your dreams even faster than you imagined

I have learned how much fun it is to be on a great team of people

I have learned how important it is to Do the Right Thing Every Day of Your Life

I have learned how powerful a smile can be

I have learned I don't have all the answers nor do I need to

I have learned I have to say No sometimes

I have learned how much I still don't know

I have learned how important...

I, like you, am just a normal person living a normal life. But, by "normal" I don't mean mundane. Nothing that exists in this universe should ever be seen as mundane!

Take a moment to breathe. Look around you right now. You see a computer, a desk, maybe a window and trees outside. You see your hands. You feel your clothes against your skin. Perhaps you smell dinner cooking, or notice the familiar scents of your office.

Everything you have noticed just now is a miracle. Once, none of it existed. Can you picture the total absence of everything?

When was the last time you stopped and thought about where it all came from?

Everything you see around you, everything you eat, the air you breathe, is all made up of the remnants of stars, cooked up in their fiery bellies billions of years ago. As my five-year-old daughter likes to point out, "We are all made of stardust!"

The universe wants to live, so stardust gathered together and became p...

Life is really a lot simpler than it seems. We typically make things more complicated than they need to be. Don't take anything or anyone (especially yourself) too seriously. Someone once said to me "Nothing is life or death, unless it is literally life or death." I have found this to be true.

RELAX. Remember that you always have a choice in how you react to things. You can let challenging situations or circumstances hold you back, or you can allow them to propel you forward. If you live your life knowing that everything is happening for you instead of to you, you'll start to see the opportunity for miracles through adversity, and GROW.

Learn to let go. When something no longer serves you, let it go. You have to make room for your dreams. Holding on to things, situations, or people out of fear will only create a barrier between you and your deepest desires.

HAVE FAITH. One of my favorite quotes on faith says "When you come to end of all the light you k...
