If today were my last day on Earth and I could share 500 words of brilliance with the world, here are the important things I'd want to pass along to others...

I want to share with you the benefits of making mistakes. Many times, as mothers, we have every intention of doing a great job for our families. We read the best books to learn everything from how to get our children to sleep through the night to what the most important study habits of school aged children are most successful. In addition, we plan healthy and nutritious meals to ensure our children's physical success.

Eventually, in motherhood, we fall. We make a mistake and forget something relevant or significant. How do you handle your mistakes? Are you your own worst critic, or do you have hecklers?

Making a mistake provides us with a new perspective and a set of information from a completely different vantage point. It is only when we pack the wrong items in our child's lunch that we come to know what the other possibilities are. Many times we continue to do things in the same old way, and we never have the benefit of seeing d...

If today were my last day on Earth and I could share 500 words of brilliance with the world, here are the important things I'd want to pass along to others...

I love following my passions, listening to my heart, and soul's purpose. Sometimes I'll even throw caution to the wind when following a whim.... But too often I see people take huge risks in the name of following their heart's desire, without realistically addressing the risks and fears. In the pursuit of following our desires, we lose all semblances of common sense and just hope and dream that everything will work out.

Fear can often be our friend. It can be a useful tool to help us discern when we are unprepared - perhaps putting ourselves in financial or emotional danger-. Fear can also run rampant, totally out of control without context if we don't address it head on, and confront what we are really scared of.

In my entrepreneurial years I learned that tapping into creativity and following ones gut is paramount in building a successful business, but I also know firsthand that you'd better have a plan too or the fear will come up and paralyze ...

My motto was always to keep swinging. Whether I was in a slump or feeling badly or having trouble off the field, the only thing to do was keep swinging. ~ Hank Aaron

What I have learned about life is to never take anything for granted.

Always live each day to the fullest and give 110%.

Don't let anything or anyone tell you that you can't live out your dreams. Always believe in yourself and know that anything is possible with hard work, determination, and passion.

When life hands you a challenge, face it head on with the attitude of coming out on the winning end of that challenge.

Just because you have some type of disability, it doesn't mean that you have to "sit on the bench", get into the game and shine.

Be proud of what you have accomplished, but also be humble.

I have learned that we have a cross to bear in this life, but that God has also given us gifts. Find out what your gift is and go for it!

I have learned that some days are better than others, but I have also learned that it is not o.k. to feel sorry for myself and that I need to always be grateful and to count my blessings for...

100% for sure, relationships are the most important thing! I have learned this from thousands people who have had less than a day to live.

The #1 predictor of the quality of your relationships with others IS the relationship you have with yourself. When you need a helping hand, look at the end of your wrist.

If you love how-to's, methods, and techniques that can be individualize to fit you, as much as I do, know this.

To be total, 100%, whole, unconditional, authentic and free in your relationships, you must be:

  1. Real with yourself about how you FEEL;
  2. Real with yourself about what you THINK;
  3. Real with others and yourself about what your intuition and soul knows.

People struggling with relationships with others or themselves often have a huge expectation of perfection about others or themselves, about how they should be, how they should act, even how they should look.

Then when they don't do their best ...

Financial success doesn't come from managing your money. It comes from managing your emotions behind money. ~ Julie Murphy Casserly

If today were my last day on Earth and I could share 500 words of brilliance with the world, here are the important things I'd want to pass along to others...

Not long after I started my financial planning firm in 1995, I discovered something that was never taught to me in business school. It's the notion that every person has their own unique and personal relationship with money. I consistently saw how my clients' emotions were responsible for how they made money, how they kept it, or conversely, how they accumulated debt.

Therefore, I've made it my mission, and have built a successful practice, on delving into the emotion and psychology behind my clients' monetary issues. I've found that by digging deep and really understanding my clients, I am able to put them on a financial path that is right for them, and only them.

It's my hope that everyone discovers financial abundance by opening their eyes to the possibilities of a new reality- a reality filled with happiness, prosperity and inner peace. Here are some of the things I've learned over the years:

Be true to yourself.

Sitting at the wrong keyboard.

There comes a time in life where we need to make a choice. We sit down one day and look at our lives and realize that while there are parts of it that are just fantastic - there is a void or a hole somewhere that inspiration, joy and ease of life used to live. For me, it was the discovery of how many hours I was sitting at the wrong keyboard.

I am a musician. A piano player pretty much since before I was born if you know what I mean.

My joy, my life lived through my piano keyboard as I went from piano lessons as a kid to celebrating a really great and successful musical career in the music industry writing for television, films, songwriting and most recently creating music to relax people's lives and fill their hearts with music and more.

In walks the business. Correction... businesses. Production companies, publishing companies, distribution companies, websites and... and... and. My philosophy in life h...

Okay, okay, I'm going to make a bold statement. I admit it - I'm over 50 now, yes I am. It is a hard pill to swallow. But I'm getting there and am starting to get comfortable with it.

I used to hate walking down a street and getting whistles from the men around me. Now there were never hundreds, but I got my share. BUT...and again I hate to admit it but...when the whistles started disappearing and finally stopped altogether, I missed them. I missed them...I really, really missed them.

"What's going on?" "What's happening?" So I looked in the mirror. I mean REALLY looked in the mirror and I didn't see the "me" I thought I was. "Who is that?" I said. Where did that young woman go? Where did I go? Who is that in the mirror? EEEgads, that's my mother! Now my mother is beautiful and I adore my mother but... looking middle -aged was going to take some getting used to.

Was the lack of whistles making me question my worth because I was aging? I saw myself one way, bu...
